Volunteer Information

The Pittsburgh Chapter needs a volunteer to maintain the Chapter web site. This task is not as difficult as it may seem because of the tool we use. The Chapter’s web site is written in a tool called WordPress which is a basic text editor. If you can use Microsoft word, you can use WordPress. A basic knowledge of computers and some web site experience is preferred. Training will be provided and support is available from the company that built the web site for any significant changes to the existing site.

If you are interested, please contact Paul Kwiecinski VP of Finance at PKwiecinski@medrad.com or at 724-940-6902 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM weekly.

Why Volunteer?
APICS volunteers are a diverse group. They are vice
presidents, planners, academicians, managers, and
independent consultants. They have decades of professional
experience; they are recent college graduates. They live and
work in many different countries around the world. The
common thread is their commitment to improving global
productivity through education, solutions, and networking.
Today’s fast paced, 24/7/365-work environment leaves little
time for volunteer endeavors. But volunteering isn’t just about
giving of your time and resources. You will benefit from your
service, as will your employer.
On a personal level, you will:
  • Contribute to the development of leading-edge industry innovations
  • Broaden your professional network and gain industry recognition
  • Develop and practice effective leadership and management skills.

Your organization gains through
  • Your application of new management and leadership techniques
  • Your access to shared industry experiences and best practices.
