Manager of Purchasing – Oil & Gas (Immediate Need)
Primary Duties:
The manager is responsible for providing direction and daily supervision of strategic buyers, and for purchasing and managing the inventory of commodities of assigned non-strategic vendors in accordance with Purchasing policy and procedures. This position is responsible to lead the purchasing efforts to work with sales and operations to understand needs and identify strategic vendors to source those needs. The responsibilities also include the sourcing, quoting and purchasing of the pipe needs of all business units.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible business management, warehouse and purchasing logistics, or 4-7 years of capital equipment purchasing.
- Strong analytic and interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve problems
- Leadership skills to supervise and direct the efforts of the buyers.
- Proven supervisory and management skills and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computing skills, specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A strong understanding of the Oil and Gas industry is preferred.

Cost Manager
Basilone Executive Search and Staffing is currently in search of a Cost Manager for a major manufacturing plant just outside of Pittsburgh.
The Cost Manager position will be responsible for the installation and implementation of a new standard cost software system from the ground up.
Responsibilities would also include overseeing the new system and cost department and supervising a staff of one to two employees.
Requirements for this position include experience in manufacturing, a strong background in Standard Costs, IT, and strong analytical skills. Software implementation experience is an advantage but not required.
