•           Revise the production schedule as needed in order to meet delivery dates.

•           Prepare, maintain and distribute delivery schedules.

•           Work directly with the Production Manager to report on the production schedule on a daily basis.

Requirements:

•           Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.

•           5-7 years manufacturing experience.

•           Strong organizational skills and computer aptitude.

•           Must have experience managing production schedules in a manufacturing environment. CPIM preferred.

 Our client is a $1B+ discrete manufacturer with plants worldwide.  They are consistently looking for individuals that are able to not only assume the responsibilities of their current role, but are constantly preparing themselves for the next role within the organization.  Therefore they are aggressively looking for a Sectional Materials Manager that will report to the Plant Materials Manager and be responsible for ½ of their largest plant in the world:

 -         Planning raw materials;

-         Supervising Buyer/Planners ;

-         Forecasting future demand to ensure adequate material is available;

-         Overseeing outbound logistics to ensure materials are shipped on time;

-         Ensure timely receipt of raw materials.

 Lean / Continuous Improvement and Change Management experience is a must. 

 The ideal candidate will have:

-         at least 5-7 years of materials management / inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment that is constantly looking to improve;

-         experience using SAP to support the process;

-         strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills;

Purpose: To continuously update and maintain the Manugistics technical model to enhance the decision-support capabilities of the tool.  Provide training and technical support to Demand Planners.  Serve as the project liaison between Supply Chain teams, IT and Demand Planning.
